All Academic students, faculty, and staff possess Eservices accounts. These accounts are used to log into email, network drives, classroom and many UVA computers, SIS Login for students, Workday, etc.
Eservices account passwords expire every 365 days. ITS sends out a few notifications via email 30 and 15 days before the expiration date. Please change your password before it expires if possible.
How to change your Eservices password:
Important: If you have a UVA Windows computer off-grounds, please see the the next section before changing your password.
1. Choose a method to verify your identity.
Option 1: Log into the Identity & Access Management Portal with your Computing ID and Eservices password or Personal Digital Certificate.
Option 2: Answer your security questions.
Option 3: Request a PIN be sent to your recovery email or mobile number.
If you can't authenticate with any of the above methods, contact the ITS Help Desk.
2. Click the Password Management tab at the top of the page.
3. Review the password requirements listed on the page and enter a new password twice.
4. Click the "Reset Password" button.
Update the New Password on UVA Off-Grounds Windows Computers
Requirements for Off-Grounds Password Syncing:
- Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (usually already installed on UVA owned computers)
- Personal Digital Certificate
How to Update:
1. Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
2. From the dropdown menu select "UVA Anywhere" and click Connect.
3. Wait until you see a notification like shown below (approximately 20-30 minutes).
4. Lock your computer by pressing the Windows + L key.
5. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the login window and enter your Computing ID and new Eservices password.
