This room offers three presentation options:

  1. Wired sharing for a laptop via HDMI and USB. 
  2. Wireless sharing utilizing Mersive.
  3. In-room PC

Wired

Enables connection to in-room displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras using a laptop.

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Find the USB and HDMI cables on the table. Connect both to your laptop. 
    * USB adapters are available for checkout in the ETO (Rid121) if required.
  • Select the Laptop” button on the touch panel.
  • When selecting the Camera and Mic for your software (e.g. Zoom, Teams) use the chart below. Camera & Volume controls are detailed on the back of this page.

Wireless (Mersive)

Enables connection to in-room displays; speaker functionality may be limited. Microphone & camera are unavailable using Mersive. 

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Select the “Wireless button on the touch panel.
  • Additional connection instructions will appear on the in-room displays. Eduroam Wi-Fi is required for Wireless connection.

 

In-Room PC

Enables connection to in-room displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Select the “Room PC” button on the panel and sign in using the mouse and keyboard. 
    * You may need to click the mouse or tap a button on the keyboard to “wake up” the PC before signing in. 
  • When selecting the Camera and Mic for your software (e.g. Zoom, Teams) use the chart above. Camera & Volume controls are detailed on the back of this page.

Additional Controls 

Audio

  • The in-room speaker volume can be adjusted using the “Presentation Volume” slider near the bottom of the screen. 

Camera

  • To access the Camera controls, select the Camera Icon A white camera on a blue backgroundAI-generated content may be incorrect. in the lower left corner. A preview of the active camera will be displayed on the touch screen. * The on-screen preview may appear slow or choppy. This is normal. Camera feed will look much smoother in Zoom/Teams/etc. 
  • Two camera options are available: Rear Camera and Front Camera. The button highlighted in Blue is the “active” camera. To change cameras, select the inactive option.
  • Use the on-screen Magnifying Glasses to zoom in A white symbol with a crossAI-generated content may be incorrect. and zoom out A white zoom out symbolAI-generated content may be incorrect.. Use the on-screen Arrows to move the camera vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.   
  • 6 Preset camera positions are available. These may be changed. To save a camera preset, adjust the camera to the desired position, then press and hold the Preset option you would like to overwrite. “Preset Saved” will appear in red text above the listed presets after it has saved. 
  • You may also enable Auto Framing (highlighted in green when enabled). Auto Framing uses a sensor in the camera to detect subjects in view of the camera. It then adjusts the camera’s angle to optimally view the subject. If multiple subjects are detected, it will adjust to fit all visible subjects.
