Bavaro Hall Room 104 supports three presentation methods for teaching, meetings, and hybrid sessions: Wired Laptop Connection, Wireless Sharing (Mersive), and the In‑Room PC. This article explains how to use each option, adjust audio and camera settings, and properly power down the room when finished.

🔌 Option 1: Wired Laptop Connection
Use this option for full access to displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras.
- Touch anywhere on the touch panel to begin.
- Locate the HDMI and USB cables on the table.
- Connect both HDMI and USBto your laptop.
- USB‑C or other adapters are available for checkout from ETO (Ridley 121).
- Select Laptop on the touch panel.
- In your software (Zoom, Teams, etc.), select the room camera and microphone as shown in the room’s device chart.
- Adjust camera and volume as needed (see Additional Controls below).

Use this option for display sharing only.
⚠️ Limitations
- Speaker functionality may be limited
- Microphone and camera are not available
- Eduroam Wi‑Fi is required

- Touch anywhere on the touch panel.
- Select Wireless.
- Follow the on‑screen instructions displayed on the room monitors.

Use this option for full access to displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras.
- Touch anywhere on the touch panel.
- Select Room PC.
- Wake the PC if needed by clicking the mouse or pressing a key.
- Sign in using the keyboard and mouse.
- In Zoom, Teams, or other software, select the room camera and microphone.
- Adjust audio and camera settings as needed.

Audio
- Adjust speaker volume using the Presentation Volume slider near the bottom of the touch panel.
Camera
- Select the Camera icon (camera symbol) in the lower‑left corner.
- A preview of the active camera appears on the panel.
- Preview may look choppy; this is normal. Video quality will be smooth in Zoom/Teams.
- Choose between:
- Rear Camera
- Front Camera
- (The active camera is highlighted in blue.)
- Use:
- Magnifying glass icons to zoom in or out
- Arrow controls to pan and tilt
- Use or update one of 6 camera presets:
- Adjust the camera
- Press and hold a preset to save
- “Preset Saved” appears in red text
- Enable Auto Framing (highlighted in green) if desired.
- Exit camera controls by pressing the red X in the upper‑right corner.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Always connect both HDMI and USB for wired laptop use.
- Wireless (Mersive) does not support microphones or cameras.
- Eduroam Wi‑Fi is required for wireless sharing.
- The camera preview on the panel may appear slow—this is expected.
- Power down the room using the red power button before exiting.

- Confirm the correct source (Laptop, Wireless, or Room PC) is selected.
- Check that HDMI is fully connected (wired option).
2️⃣ Camera or Microphone Not Available
- Verify you are using Laptop (wired) or Room PC.
- Wireless sharing does not support cameras or microphones.
- Re‑select the room camera/mic in Zoom or Teams.
3️⃣ No Audio from Speakers
- Adjust the Presentation Volume slider on the panel.
- Confirm the correct speaker is selected in your software.
4️⃣ In‑Room PC Appears Off
- Move the mouse or press a key to wake it.
- Restart the PC if it does not respond.
