Ridley Hall Rm-302

This room offers three presentation options:

  1. Wired sharing for a laptop via HDMI and USB 
  2. Wireless sharing utilizing Mersive
  3. In-room PC

Please power down using the panel  before exiting the room.

Wired

Enables connection to in-room displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras using a laptop.

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Find the USB and HDMI cables on the table. Connect both to your laptop. 
    * USB adapters are available for checkout in the ETO (Rid121) if required.
  • Select the “Lectern Laptop” button on the touch panel.
  • When selecting the Camera and Mic for your software (e.g. Zoom, Teams) use the options below. Camera & Volume controls are detailed on the back of this page.

*If using a USB adapter on Windows, output name may appear as “Crestron (3-HD Audio Driver for Display Audio)” instead.

In-Room PC

Enables connection to in-room displays, speakers, microphone, and cameras

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Select the “PC” button on the panel and sign in using the mouse and keyboard. 
    * You may need to click the mouse or tap a button on the keyboard to “wake up” the PC before signing in. 
  • When selecting the Camera and Mic for your software (e.g. Zoom, Teams), refer to the chart above. Camera & Audio controls are detailed on the back of this page.

Wireless (Mersive)

Enables connection to in-room displays; speaker functionality may be limited. Microphone & camera are unavailable using Mersive. 

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Select the “Wireless” button on the touch panel.
  • Additional connection instructions will appear on the in-room displays. Eduroam Wi-Fi is required for Wireless connection.

Document Camera

Displays podium document camera on in-room displays

  • Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
  • Select the “Doc Cam” button on the panel.
  • Power on the document camera using the silver power button on the righthand side of the doc cam. It may take a few moments to turn on. When finished, please power off the document camera. 

Additional Controls 

Audio

  • The home screen features sliders on the bottom and right side of the screen to adjust the in-room speakers and lectern microphone level.  
  • To access additional microphone settings, select the slider icon  in the lower left corner. Portable microphones are in the bottom left cabinet of the podium.

Camera

  • To access the Camera controls, touch the Camera Icon A white camera on a blue backgroundAI-generated content may be incorrect. in the lower left corner. Use Zoom/Teams to preview the camera.
  • Use the on-screen plus and minus buttons to zoom in A black cross in a circleAI-generated content may be incorrect. and zoom out A black line in a circleAI-generated content may be incorrect.. Use the on-screen Arrows to move the camera vertically or horizontally.
  • 4 Preset camera positions are available. These may be changed. To save a camera preset, adjust the camera to the desired position, then press and hold the Preset option you would like to overwrite. 
  • To exit camera controls, tap the Camera icon again or tap anywhere in the grey, empty space surrounding the camera options to return to the home screen.
