Bavaro Hall Rm-116
This room offers two presentation options:
- Wired sharing for a laptop via HDMI and USB.
- Wireless sharing utilizing Mersive.
Please power down using the panel before exiting the room.

Wired
Enables connection to in-room displays, speakers, microphones, and cameras using a laptop.
- Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
- Find the USB and HDMI cables on the table. Connect both to your laptop.
* USB adapters are available for checkout in the ETO (Rid121) if required. - Select the “Lectern Laptop” button on the touch panel.
- When selecting the Camera and Mic for your software (e.g. Zoom, Teams) use the options below. Camera & Audio controls are detailed on the back of this page.
Wireless (Mersive)
Enables connection to in-room displays; speaker functionality may be limited. Microphones & cameras are unavailable using Mersive.
- Touch anywhere on the panel to begin.
- Select the “Wireless Device” button on the touch panel.
- Additional connection instructions will appear on the in-room displays. Eduroam Wi-Fi is required for Wireless connection.
Additional Controls
Audio
- The home screen features sliders on the bottom and right side of the screen to adjust the presentation level and lectern microphone level.
- To access additional microphone settings, select the slider icon
in the lower left corner. Portable microphones are in the Holloway Hall closet. Contact ETO or Facilities Management for access.
- All microphones are unmuted by default. To mute a microphone, select it. The button will turn red when muted. You may also use the on-screen sliders to adjust the volume of individual microphones.
Camera
- To access the Camera controls, touch the Camera Icon
in the lower left corner. Use Zoom/Teams to preview the camera.
- Three camera options are available: Presenter, Audience Left, and Audience Right. The button highlighted in Blue is the “active” camera. To change cameras, select an inactive option.

Use the on-screen plus and minus buttons to zoom in
and zoom out
. Use the on-screen Arrows to move the camera vertically or horizontally.
- 4 Preset camera positions are available. These may be changed. To save a camera preset, adjust the camera to the desired position, then press and hold the Preset option you would like to overwrite.
- You may also enable Auto Framing (highlighted in blue when enabled). Auto Framing uses a sensor in the camera to detect subjects in view of the camera. It then adjusts the camera’s angle to optimally view the subject. If multiple subjects are detected, it will adjust to fit all visible subjects.
- To exit camera controls, tap the Camera icon again or tap anywhere in the grey, empty space surrounding the camera options to return to the home screen.
