Bavaro Hall Room 116 is an extra‑large event and presentation space supporting wired laptop sharing and wireless sharing (Mersive). The room includes integrated displays, speakers, microphones, and multiple cameras for large meetings and hybrid events.

🔌 Option 1: Wired Laptop (HDMI + USB)

Use this option for full AV functionality.

Steps

  1. Touch anywhere on the touch panel to begin.
  2. Locate the HDMI and USB cables on the table.
  3. Connect both HDMI and USBto your laptop.
    • USB adapters are available for checkout from ETO (Ridley 121) if required.
  4. Select Lectern Laptop on the touch panel.
  5. In Zoom, Teams, or other software, select the room camera and microphone.
  6. Adjust audio and camera settings as needed using the room controls.

📡 Option 2: Wireless Sharing (Mersive)

Use this option for display sharing only.

Steps

  1. Touch anywhere on the touch panel to begin.
  2. Select Wireless Device.
  3. Follow the on‑screen connection instructions shown on the displays.
  4. Connect using Eduroam Wi‑Fi.

🎛️ Additional Controls

Audio

  • Use the sliders on the bottom and rightof the home screen to adjust:
    • Presentation (speaker) volume
    • Lectern microphone level
  • Select the slider icon in the lower‑left corner for advanced microphone controls.
  • All microphones are unmuted by default.
    • Select a microphone to mute it (button turns red).
    • Use sliders to adjust individual microphone levels.
  • Portable microphones are stored in the Holloway Hall closet.
    • Contact ETO or Facilities Management for access.

Camera

  1. Select the Camera icon in the lower‑left corner.
  2. Preview the camera in Zoom or Teams.
  3. Available cameras:
    • Presenter
    • Audience Left
    • Audience Right
  4. The active camera is highlighted in blue.
  5. Use + / – buttons to zoom in or out.
  6. Use arrow controls to pan or tilt.
  7. 4 camera presetsare available:
    • Adjust the camera.
    • Press and hold a preset to overwrite it.
  8. Enable Auto Framing (highlighted in blue when active).
  9. Exit camera controls by tapping the Camera icon again or tapping the grey background.

⚠️ Important Notes
  • Always connect both HDMI and USB when using a laptop
  • Wireless (Mersive) does not support microphones or cameras
  • All microphones start unmuted—mute unused mics to reduce noise
  • Power down the room using the panel before exiting

  • Confirm the correct source (Lectern Laptop or Wireless Device) is selected
  • Check HDMI connection for wired use

2️⃣ No audio or microphone

  • Verify USB is connected
  • Re‑select the room microphone in your application
  • Confirm microphones are not muted on the panel

3️⃣ Camera not visible in Zoom/Teams

  • Ensure you are using Wired (Lectern Laptop) mode
  • Select the correct room camera in your app

4️⃣ Wireless connection not working

  • Confirm you are connected to Eduroam
  • Restart the wireless sharing session from the panel
